Cancellation Policy

If you decide to commission Heather to create your artwork, the process goes as follows: I am commissioning a piece of art based on provided photographs, allowing the artist to interpret them. ​ If I have specific expectations, I must communicate them clearly and in writing before the artwork begins. ​ If the final artwork does not meet these expectations, I can request changes at no extra charge. ​ If the artwork meets the initial requirements but I am still unsatisfied, I can request additional changes for an extra fee. ​ Payment Structure: ​ The total price and due date are agreed upon before starting. ​ Payment is divided into three nonrefundable parts: First 1/3rd: Paid upfront to cover initial supplies. ​ Second 1/3rd: Paid halfway through the project, regardless of whether I attend the mid-progress meeting. ​ Final 1/3rd: Paid upon completion and satisfaction with the artwork. ​ Payment must be in cash or credit card; checks are not accepted. ​ Meetings: ​ Mid-progress meeting: To review the artwork and request changes in writing. ​ I can opt out but still owe the second payment. ​ Final meeting: To review the finished piece. ​ Minor changes can be made on the spot; major changes may require additional time and fees. ​ Cancellation Policy: If I cancel the commission at any point, no refunds will be given for payments made, and the unfinished artwork is returned to the artist. ​ If I reject the finished artwork and decline changes, the first 2/3rd payments are nonrefundable, but the final 1/3rd is not required. ​ The artist retains the artwork and may sell it, potentially returning a portion of the sale to me after recouping losses. ​ By signing, I acknowledge and agree to these terms, understanding that the first 2/3rd payments are nonrefundable.
